It only cost 200 bucks a month including food. This was good. Unfortunately, with the co-op came a bunch of annoying hippies. one day, I goaded them by saying Jerry was going to die any day now. "No way," said one particular guy who used to like to cook naked, "Jerry's cleaned up, man!" I informed him I was so confident that Jerry would die, I bet him 100 dollars that Jerry would die before George Burns. And now, I won. It was a longshot, granted, with Burns clocking in at 99 years old, but I was confident he had signed some sort of contract with satan after the Oh, God movies, and would be around for some time. But he made it, although I was a bit frightened when he went to the hospital last year for minor surgery. Long Live Lord Burns! Now if I could just find that stinkin' hippie. I doubt he has the money anyway.
